  So last night I was finally able to make this recipe I have been dying to make for ages. Called Protein Balls, but honestly, they’re like protein granola deliciousness.
Ingredients:
1 cup dry oatmeal 
1/3 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup nut butter (I just used peanut butter)
1/2 cup ground flax seed (I used whole flax seeds, nice little crunchies)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (Optional, I used Almond flakes and raisins instead)
1/3 cup raw honey
1 tsp vanilla (I was out, so I omitted this)
 Mix together all your dry ingredients, and then add the peanut butter and honey, it takes a lot of time to mix the mess, but honestly, I just used my hands instead of a spoon, took a bit of time, but it worked well. Then you put it in the fridge, the recipe said an hour, but I left it in overnight. And then roll it into balls and devour.
  I think you can add pretty much anything, different nuts,dried fruits, chocolate chips, substitute and play all you like, it’s fun and the outcome is delicious!

The Glycemic Index: Explained!

This post was a long time in the making and is extremely important for weight loss. Your blood sugar levels directly correlate to fat storage, hunger, energy levels and hormone balance, all things that are essential to being healthy! The Glycemic Index is especially important for anyone with PCOS, Diabetes or who struggles with insulin levels.

Most of my research was done here, here and here if you want to learn more details! It is important to realize the the glycemic index is an amazing tool to stabilizing blood sugar and making your diet more effective but it is also in the early stages and there is a lot more research to be done.

1. Monday!- Ok. So i know not all of us have cheat days…but they are usually on weekends right? Yeah. So your belly is still full with those cookies and that slice of pizza. So it’s normal for the scale to be a couple of pounds higher.

2. During the middle or end of the day- Hello! You have been eating all day! You have already had breakfast, lunch or maybe even dinner! You haven’t digested all that food yet. 

3. After a shower- You are all wet. Now this won’t make the scale go up too much. Put if you see a pound or two more than before. Blame the shower.

4. When you are on your period- Girls. You are stressed, bloated, and for some reason 10 times hungrier on your period. Gaining 5 pounds or less when you are on your cycle is normal.

5. Right after a workout- Sometimes after you workout you think “I know i lost some pounds doing that!” Nope. Working out causes your muscles to retain water. So the scale will lie and tell you that you have gained 3 pounds or even more.

6.When you are having the least confidence in yourself- Everybody has those days where they just hate the world. So getting on the scale might not be the best thing for you at the moment. That 105 could turn into 205 in 10 secs. *This doesn’t apply to everyone.

So when is the best time to weigh yourself?

Right when you wake up. Use the bathroom…strip naked and wait for your results. This is the most accurate time to see how much you really weigh! Don’t weigh yourself everyday. The best day to weigh yourself is Tuesday or Wednesday. Remember, The scale weighs EVERYTHING in your body. Not just fat. So if you have been hitting the weights or have become familiar with strength training. Do not worry if your scale goes up. As long as you are healthy. It shouldn’t matter!

I HAVE LOST 81 LBS SINCE LAST DEC…4 WEEKS AGO I WENT ON A NEW BIRTH CONTROL AND SINCE THAN I HAVE NOT LOST A DAMN THING I HAVE GAINED 2LBS…..I HAVENT CHANGED MY DIET…I DRINK TONS OF WATER…I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT…HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? Yes, I am the one that made this post, I am so upset about this, and disgusted.. you dont know how many peoples pictures from tumblr I have seen on there…I sat here for a couple days trying to show people their pictures but thought this was a better way to let people know what is going on… These people have taken ALL of my pictures and used them ! Just keep clicking though pages and pages on pinterest…you see a name under your picture click on it and report it..I wrote them a huge letter and going to write another one again !
